The Minneapolis-based powerhouse, Ela, is comprised of elite forces from hip-hop trailblazers Heiruspecs (McPherson and Legget) and angular-rock veterans Askeleton (Tate and Caperton) under one indie-rock flag.

Frontman Bill Caperton commands his songwriting with fierce honesty and authenticity - not to mention beautiful craftsmanship. With driving back beats, sharp interplaying guitars and smooth bass lines, Ela pushes the boundaries of what is commonly considered shoegazing indie-rock and explore more than just "emo."

Real Blood On Fake Trees is the long-awaited follow-up to Ela's 2003 debut release Stapled to Air and represents the rapid growth of a band bent on pushing the envelope and creating something inspiring and unique.
